La Rochère is Europe's oldest surviving art glassworks, and France's oldest privately-owned company. Located in the Haute-Saône department, on the borders of the Lorraine, Franche-Comté and Champagne regions of France, it was founded in 1475 by Simon de Thysac, a gentleman glassmaker. Today, La Rochère is one of the most visited sites in Haute-Saône. Distributed in some fifty countries, the brand's identity is based on the values of : Authenticity - Know-how - Sustainability and Dynamism. Open from April to October and in December, the glassworks is open to all. On site, you can watch the master glassmakers at work, browse the sales showroom to learn more about glassmaking, and end your visit with a stroll through the Japanese garden, which will lead you to a painting exhibition...
