The lake "lac de blanchemer"

  • Lac-de-blanchemer-la-bresse-1

With a surface area identical to that of Lac des Corbeaux, Lac de Blanchemer will bring you peace and quiet. Fish for Fario trout, perch, tench, roach and carp. There's a floating peat bog that's dangerous to access, but provides a welcome refuge for perch and trout. The lake was dammed to generate electricity: the turbine, still in operation, was installed for this purpose at the Blanchemer bridge in 1958. The lake's name, "mer blanche", derives from the reflection of snow in its waters in winter.

Camping, fires and swimming prohibited (bivouac tolerated)
